Official-rule precedence

This digital summary is for convenience. Committee-issued tournament rules remain authoritative.

The format

  • 100 balls per innings
  • Ends change after every 10 balls
  • A bowler may deliver five or ten consecutive balls
  • Maximum 20 balls per bowler in a full match

Powerplay

  • First 25 balls of each innings
  • Two fielders allowed outside the circle during the powerplay
  • Maximum five outside after the powerplay
  • Reduced-match powerplay is 25%, rounded up

Match result

  • Most runs wins
  • A tied match proceeds to a five-ball Super Over
  • If still tied: wickets, then boundaries, then toss
  • Duckworth/Lewis method may apply to eligible reduced matches

Spirit & safety

  • Umpire decisions are final
  • Abuse of officials, volunteers or teams is not tolerated
  • Under-18 batters must wear a helmet with face guard
  • Each team is responsible for its own insurance and equipment
